We’ll greet you at the front desk and help you complete any necessary paperwork. You’re welcome to fill out your forms in advance to save time, or we’ll assist you when you arrive.
Digital Imaging & Examination
We use advanced diagnostic tools like the iTero scanner and digital X-rays (Pan/Ceph) to get a clear and detailed look at your teeth, jaws, and bite. This helps us understand your unique needs and plan your care precisely.
Personalized Consultation
You’ll meet with one of our orthodontic specialists or oral surgeons (depending on your reason for visiting). We’ll discuss your concerns, review your imaging, and explain any issues we see in simple, easy-to-understand terms.
Customized Treatment Plan
If treatment is recommended, we’ll outline your options, go over the timeline and costs, and answer any questions you have. There’s no pressure—just honest guidance to help you make the best decision for your health and smile.

How To Best Take Care of Your Appliances?
Orthodontic appliances – whether braces, Invisalign, or retainers – are key to achieving the smile you’ve always wanted. Proper care of these appliances is essential to keep your treatment on track, maintain your oral health, and prevent unnecessary damage.
At Alliston Orthodontics & Oral Surgery, we’re here to guide you on how to take the best possible care of your appliances. From cleaning techniques to tips for avoiding damage, following these guidelines will make your orthodontic journey smoother and more comfortable.
With the right care, your appliances will perform as they should, helping you achieve a healthy, confident smile. If you ever have questions or concerns, our team is just a call away.
Foods like gum, caramel, or hard candies can damage braces or get stuck in aligners. Stick to orthodontist-approved snacks to keep your appliances in great shape.
If something feels wrong – like a loose bracket, lost aligner, or poking wire – take a moment to assess the severity of the issue. Minor discomforts can often be managed at home temporarily.
For loose brackets, gently place orthodontic wax over the area to stabilize it. For poking wires, use a cotton swab or pencil eraser to push the wire into a more comfortable position.

If you’re experiencing any discomfort or issues with your braces or appliances, don’t hesitate to contact our team at (705) 435-1315. We’ll assess the urgency of your situation and schedule an appointment to resolve the issue promptly.
