INTERCEPTIVE TREATMENT

EARLY ORTHODONTIC TREATMENT FOR CHILDREN

Did you know the American and Canadian Association of Orthodontists recommends that all children see an orthodontist by age seven?

Interceptive treatment (also known as Phase One) typically begins around age eight or nine. Phase Two will begin around age 11 or older. The goal of early treatment is to correct the growth of the jaw and certain bite problems, making any future work more conservative and less invasive, such as avoiding permanent extractions or surgeries.

Approximately 25% of younger chidren would benefit from interceptive treatment. Don’t take any chances; take advantage of our complimentary consultation process and put your mind at ease. Call us today.
